Hi! I’m Jen, the T1 Athlete. I grew up playing sports and fell in love with running after high school but I love just about anything that will get my heart racing! I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in June 2017 and despite challenges and doubters, have regained and retained my active lifestyle. Many T1 diabuddies I’ve encountered seem to think it is impossible to stay active and safe with this disease. I believe it is not only possible but essential for us to stay healthy!
This blog is my way of documenting my journey, the highs, the lows (see what I did there :p) and everything I learn along the way in the hopes that someone else can avoid some of the challenges and pitfalls that I’ve encountered.
